Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics &Communications Engineering or Technical Certification in administering Microsoft
|

Windows environment or equivalent experience
|
|
CCIE, CCNA or equivalent certification
|
|
4+ years experience with Cisco Equipment – hands-on administration experience with high end Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls
|
|
Proven ability to engineer local and wide-area networks from the ground up
|
|
Experience with structured cabling
|
|
Experience with using MS Office products (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
|
|
Must possess in-depth knowledge of the following:
|
|
Cisco routers, switches and firewalls from both an operational and design perspective
|
|
LAN/WAN design and implementation from an NT perspective
|
|
LAN/WAN design and implementation from a physical perspective
|
|
WAN design and implementation from a routing perspective
|
|
WAN design and implementation from a physical perspective
|
|
High Availability technologies (Application Switches, Clustering)
|
|
Internet technologies (HTTP, HTTPS, Secure Certificates)
|
|
Intimate knowledge of VPN technologies
|
|
Ability to understand priorities and use time wisely, always working first on the things
|
|
Ability to change focus quickly as the changes in day to day business requires
|
|
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and techniques
|
|
Extreme discretion in the handling of confidential information
|
|
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
|
|
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
|
|
Excellent oral and written communication skills
|
|
Ability to work with little or no supervision once priorities are set. Able to be on-call as needed for outages including willing to carry pager 24x7.
